This was our annual allcomers national championchip, welcoming all donkey and mule friends. Once a year, the best in the land demonstrate their competition winning attributes during an entertaining, and above all fair event. An enrichingly enjoyable time is had by all.
In the first world, some time ago, and still today in many third world countries the donkey does the work we leave to fuel driven engines. It is an irreplaceable energy source of the transport networks and every day life. The donkey was one of the first animals to be domesticated, even before the horse.
Many of our members get great pleasure, as if the donkey were a family member. We don't regard these pets as sporting goods or status symbols. We view them as an essential leveller for hectic, stressful modern life.
